It is interesting that Malaysia will soon the second Thailand of South East Asia as they too seek the court for answers rather than the people. Personally, that is the furthest away from the principles of Democracy. The last time something disastrous that has happened when the courts area allow to decide is to allow a war criminal by the name George Bush to run a country.
Nizar has been confirmed as the legitimate MB for Perak. It is time for Nizar to do the right thing. Dissolve the state assembly and call for a fresh election. Yes, it might sound like it is not cost effective but it is the ONLY solution as it will return the effective power back to the people. Yes, the people of Perak.
It is amazing how some people still think we are in the pre-march 8th era. They think they can get away with pulling fast ones. Occasionally I do question the logic. If any indications, the previous election, the rakyat had shouted loudly that they do want change. For those who feared change and saw the changes that 8th March has brought about, they too would fear less in the coming election. In some ways, Malaysia political landscape has changed substantially.
People are more informed. In many ways, the battleground has been the internet. If one were to ask me to name one contribution that our current PM, Abdullah Badawi has done, it is to give the rakyat a choice. Badawi has participated in only two elections as a PM. He has performed a feat where no other PM had done. One he has won the most resounding election BN has ever seen. Followed by one of the most devastating election BN has ever seen.
